At Addison Gilbert Hospital, special events raise funds for important causes while also building friendship, supporting others, and making memories that last.
Addison Gilbert Hospital has a deeply rooted tradition of philanthropy dating to the late 19th century, when Addison Gilbert’s generous bequest led to the hospital’s founding in 1889. Today, more than ever, our hospital relies on our donors’ support to sustain our community hospital’s nonprofit mission of caring for the Cape Ann community.

Every year, more than 1 million Americans are diagnosed with cancer. Every year, thousands of them are treated at a Lahey Health hospital.
And every summer, the Lahey Health 5K Cancer Walk & Run raises money for our family, friends and neighbors with cancer. Funds raised are donated to the Lahey Health Cancer Institute and are distributed among its five treatment centers to enhance the patient experience. This joyful event brings walkers, runners, and volunteers together to raise funds for the cancer centers at Addison Gilbert Hospital, Beverly Hospital, Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, Lahey Medical Center, Peabody and Winchester Hospital.
Among our most enjoyable and anticipated events, the Gloucester Harbor Cruise on July 11 benefits Addison Gilbert Hospital and honors donors who have chosen to invest generously in the hospital’s future through gifts of $1,000 or more.
This elegant evening out features delicious food, live music, and the breathtaking beauty of Gloucester.
Through their generosity, Mr. Stephen Kaloyanides and the Ellis Family are leading the way for many benefactors to join them in supporting Addison Gilbert Hospital. They have offered a $100,000 matching gift challenge in support of the hospital’s ongoing initiative to constantly improve its equipment and facilities, specifically to provide state-of-the-art beds with vital monitoring and clinical safety features in the Steele One Inpatient Unit.

The 2017 Beverly and Addison Gilbert Hospitals’ Annual Golf Outing will be held Monday, September 18 at Essex County Club.
Proceeds from this annual event support the nonprofit hospitals and their missions. The tournament is a day of fun and camaraderie as hundreds of providers, patients, and community members enjoy friendly competition on the links, good food, games, and prizes.
Every year the Lahey Health Cancer 5K is a tremendous, heartwarming experience. It supports activities that improve the quality of life and experience of cancer patients and their families as they go through this difficult journey.”
