Fun Ways to Lend Your Support

At Addison Gilbert Hospital, special events raise funds for important causes while also building friendship, supporting others, and making memories that last.

Addison Gilbert Hospital has a deeply rooted tradition of philanthropy dating to the late 19th century when Addison Gilbert’s generous bequest led to the hospital’s founding in 1889. Today, more than ever, our hospital relies on our donors’ support to sustain our community hospital’s nonprofit mission of caring for the Cape Ann community.

We invite you to check back again to stay updated on upcoming special events to benefit Addison Gilbert Hospital and sign up to receive periodic Philanthropy news.

Compassion and Cancer Care: The Story Behind Lights of Love
The fight against cancer is personal for Shawn Wilson, who lost her partner, Sue Kyle, five years ago. Helping others helped carry Sue through her courageous battle against colon cancer, which is why she and Shawn started the annual Lights of Love event to benefit Addison Gilbert Hospital.

Proceeds from Lights of Love benefit cancer services at our hospital.  This year, our goal is to raise $50,000 for cancer services, enabling Addison Gilbert Hospital to offer the most advanced treatments and provide social work support so patients can focus on their health and getting better.

Gifts of any size will help cancer patients at Addison Gilbert Hospital. Shawn Wilson, Katey Stone and Phyllis Kyle have generously pledged to match your gift dollar-for-dollar up to $25,000.
