Lahey Creates Healthcare Heroes Emergency Response Fund for COVID-19

Support your hospital’s response to the COVID-19 public health emergency

Your health is the top priority for our providers at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, where clinicians and staff are working around the clock to do everything possible to protect the health and safety of patients, staff and community during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This public health emergency has affected every aspect of our daily lives. The impact on our health care system — including our hospitals, clinics and physician practices — is just as profound. We have greatly expanded our capacity to treat patients critically ill with the coronavirus. Our frontline providers are now caring for a surge of critically ill patients.

How can you help?

Making a gift of any size to the Lahey Hospital & Medical Center Healthcare Heroes Emergency Response Fund will help provide immediate resources to hospital president Dr. David Longworth as we respond to the pandemic.

Contributions to the fund are available for Dr. Longworth to use to support frontline caregivers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Since March, we have reconfigured hospital spaces to accommodate more patients, procured additional supplies, and created a drive-up testing operation so patients with doctor’s orders who qualify for a test can be screened in a secure area and remain in their vehicle for the entire process. We have brought new telemedicine technology online to facilitate care for patients whose conditions allow them to be safely cared for via phone or video consultations. And there is much more to do.

Please make a gift now by clicking here. If you make your gift in honor of a provider, we will let them know that you have inspired their giving!

If you are interested in donating supplies or equipment, please click here for more information. To ensure that we can safely use any donated items or equipment for patient care purposes, our safety and infection control experts need to review information about the items before they can be distributed to any of the hospitals in the Beth Israel Lahey Health system.
