Your Help Makes It Possible

Health care needs and technology change quickly. The support of donors like you allows Winchester Hospital to offer our patients a wide range of services and medical equipment to meet their needs today and for years to come. Philanthropy is critical to our continued success in delivering high-quality care close to home, in a comfortable and convenient setting.

The support of many individuals and businesses, along with our employees, physicians, and volunteers, has put Winchester Hospital on the map — locally, regionally and nationally. We invite you to join the countless individuals who have supported Winchester Hospital over the years.  Your gift to Winchester Hospital stays at this hospital, to help us deliver the very best health care to you, your family and friends.

Maternal Child Health

Your gifts have helped propel Winchester Hospital as one of the most prominent obstetrical facilities north of Boston.

Support vital needs in Maternal Child Health, including the Special Care Nursery and Mother Baby  Unit.

Donations support mothers, babies and their families in the areas of Maternal Fetal Medicine, the Labor and Delivery Unit, the Mother Baby Unit (where mothers and babies stay after delivery), the Special Care Nursery (should your baby need these services) and pediatrics.

Center for Cancer Care

Winchester Hospital has served the health care needs of our growing community for more than a century. With the help of individuals, businesses, employees, physicians and volunteers, our second century will continue to build upon our success.

The Center for Cancer Care at 620 Washington Street in Winchester is the result of our 2nd Century Campaign and the support of hundreds of benefactors. At the Center for Cancer Care, we provide comprehensive cancer care in one place, close to home. Because the Center for Cancer Care is part of the Lahey Health Cancer Institute, our patients have access to clinical trials and expertise from across the system.

Our patients benefit from a coordinated team approach delivered by Winchester Hospital radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, surgeons, nurses and support staff.

We offer advanced radiation therapy treatment as well as various chemotherapy options. We also offer holistic treatment including integrative therapies such as massage, acupuncture, hypnotherapy, stress reduction and Reiki. Our care is provided in a comforting, healing environment for every patient’s cancer care journey.

Ambulatory Surgery Center

Among the projects supported by our 2nd Century Campaign is our Ambulatory Surgery Center at 620 Washington Street in Winchester. The center provides advanced day surgery treatment, customized to serve the needs of our patients, families and friends.

The Ambulatory Surgery Center offers reduced wait times for surgical care, expanded capacity and services to address patient needs in a facility that allows for future expansion.

Mother Baby Unit Renovations

Thanks to a $650,000 investment in our Maternal and Child Health Services, Winchester Hospital’s Mother Baby Unit was renovated in 2017 to add more capacity to meet patient demand. The initiative supports the hospital’s commitment to providing the very best care for parents and their newborns close to home.

The five new multiuse rooms serve different patients depending on the time of year. During the busy summer months in the Mother Baby Unit, the new rooms are licensed for postpartum care use. The rooms will be then be licensed for medical/surgical care use in the fall, winter and early spring when there are typically fewer births at Winchester Hospital.

The Mother Baby Unit includes award-winning lactation services for nursing mothers as well as a program that promotes safe sleep for babies. Our team also is working toward earning the Baby-Friendly Hospital designation from the World Health Organization and UNICEF. The journey to become a Baby-Friendly Hospital was started with a very generous gift from Charlene and Richard Williams in memory of their daughter, Grace.
